Despite the physical challenge, it wasn’t the workout that stuck with me—it was the people.

FAQs
What is F3?
F3 stands for Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith—the three core principles we build our workouts and brotherhood around. We are a free, peer-led, men-only workout group that meets outdoors, no matter the weather. Visit www.f3nation.com for more information.
Is it really free?
Yes. Always. Forever.
There is no cost to you, ever. No sign-ups, no memberships, no hidden donations. Just show up and be ready to work.
Who can join?
Any man. Any fitness level. Any background.
Whether you’re 18 or 68, running marathons or starting over, F3 is for you. You don’t need to “get in shape first.” Just come as you are—we’ll meet you there. We’ll occasionally have 2.0 (kid) friendly workouts where you can bring your children. Older children are welcome (with an accompanying adult) as long as they can endure the full workout and follow instructions.
What should I bring to my first day?
- Workout clothes (you’ll sweat)
- A pair of gloves (optional, but helpful for ground work)
- Water bottle (especially in the Georgia heat)
- A positive attitude and a willingness to push yourself
No equipment needed. No experience required.
What’s a workout like?
Every F3 workout is led by a volunteer from the group (called a Q).
Expect a 45–60 minute bootcamp-style workout that may include running, bodyweight exercises (pushups, squats, burpees, etc.), partner drills, or circuits. Some AOs (Areas of Operation) will include weight, sandbags, or rucks but the AO details will be posted on the website.
We always end with a Circle of Trust (COT)—a few minutes to reflect, encourage, and build up one another.
You’ll leave physically challenged and mentally encouraged.
We’ll enjoy some coffeeteria afterwards as well so bring a mug if you’d like a cup o’ joe!
I’m out of shape. Will I hold others back?
Absolutely not.
F3 workouts are “you versus you.” You do what you can, at your pace. No one gets left behind, and no one gets left where they were found. We’re here to get better together.
What does the “Faith” part mean?
Faith in F3 is about believing in something bigger than yourself.
For some, that’s religious faith. For others, it’s service to their community or family. We don’t push a specific religion—we simply challenge men to live with purpose and serve others.
What’s an “FNG”?
FNG stands for Friendly New Guy. That’s you—on your first post (workout), the group will give you a nickname in our “Name-O-Rama.” It’s fun, it sticks, and it makes you part of the team. You only get to be an FNG once—after that, you’re just “one of the guys.”
What’s the catch?
There isn’t one.
F3 is changing men’s lives all over the country—and it started with one guy bringing another guy to a workout.
Come once. You’ll get it.
What’s with the goofy names?
You will find that a lot of F3 revolves around goofy names and acronyms for people and exercises. We have a nickname for almost everything we do. As an FNG, this can feel a little daunting. You will quickly get used to it. You will get your F3 name after your first workout, and you will pick up on everything else as you go. Don’t understand what we are doing? Just ask. It may sound like we are speaking a foreign language at first, but you will get the hang of it with the help of the guys around you, the Lexicon, and the Exicon. For a quick start, we have a page of Basic Terminology to get you started.
